We always talk about how the voluntary actions are essential to perform our projects. When people have empathy and look at each other, actions of affection appear, like the one that happened to Laço Rosa.
Make up artists from two French make up schools, the Artistes Ecole de Maquillage and Rose Carmin, visited us and provided a special day to our victorious.
But how did that happen?
Every year these schools come to Rio de Janeiro to do volunteer work in the carnival, doing the make up on the people who are going to parade in the Sambódromo. However, this year they decided that it would be a little different.
Leticia Guaranho is Brazilian, lives in France and has an events company, Guaranho Events. She made contact with the make up schools to organize their arrival to Brazil.
However, Raphaelle Marco, one of the make up artists wanted to do more than to make up people in the carnival. She wanted her work to bring love and self-esteem to other people.
So, Leticia asked her cousin Thaiane to indicate social projects in which they could volunteer. It was then that they met Laço Rosa, that seeks elevating the self-esteem of breast cancer patients.
The make up artists spent the afternoon with us doing the make up of our champions so they would be even more beautiful.
What’s the importance of that?
The lesson of this is that anyone can make a difference, may it be in their building or in their neighborhood. The important thing to remember is that our actions reflect in other people, and when it’s a positive act it just tends to grow.
The make up artists brought happiness to our champions but also took away a heart full of gratitude and positive energies!
