On the first day of ASCO 2017 an interesting study with 321 patients (77% with breast cancer) compared conventional treatment with conventional treatment + yoga practice for 4 weeks. Patients in the study who performed yoga showed an improvement in 37% of cancer-related fatigue and a significant improvement in sleep quality (which is greatly impaired when the patient is being treated). The conclusion of the study puts yoga as an alternative to be considered in multidisciplinary treatment. The author of the study is Po-JuLin, PhD, MPH, RD University of Rochester Medical Center.
